I’ve walked past this joint a million times on my lunch break and always wanted to try it. As i was going to go there for a light lunch, I bumped into Anita and Rob where they suggested I not order any of their foods as it is seriously dodgy material. I’m glad I took advice as i saw a lady sitting near the door eating a poor looking sanga. =(
AMBIANCE
I went towards the dead period of lunch (1:30pm) where cafes and restaurants start clearing out as ppl need to get back to work. Tea Centre was fairly empty all up about 5 ppl dining. However atmosphere is quiet and cosy. Just being surrounded by endless walls of tea gives the place a sense of relaxation.

SERVICE
Service was very efficient. Infact they were so nice they didn’t charge us for the scone not sure if it was because i was taking photos.

FOOD
They have a range to choose from their menu. From salads, to sandwiches, melts and cakes. My sister and I weren’t hungry so we decided to get the devonshire deal (Scone, Double Thicken cream, jam and tea of our choice).

Plain Scones
These scones were unusual. They weren’t your standard heavy scone which leaves you rolling out of your chair… instead it’s a cross between a soft fluffy bun with the consistency of a scone with an extremely soft centre. Overall and very light which is nice for a change especially if your not in the mood for eating.

I love extra thickened cream =P
