After digging around and doing some research, I realised James Travouillon’s Paris Pâtisserie Française on Bondi road is the same as Tarte Elysée.^_^ I realised I had almost forgotten to do a tart entry which I promised ages ago so here it is..
Lemon curd tart and Italian meringue
I love all lemon meringues whether it be sweet or super sour! This is a lemon meringue that leaves your tongue feeling tangy and tingly with sour goodness all over. If you have the sour buzz in you then I guarantee you will like this tart. If your someone who hates the thought of scrunching your face when anything sour hits your tongue then this probably something you will not like.I love their biscuit base, Ive always thought their base was good. Italian meringue is divine, fluffy with texture due to the light browning of the meringue
The lemon curd is thicker than usual ones ive had in the past at other places. As for the taste.. Mmmmm sour goodness with a buttery base MMM!!!!

Cocktail of fruits tart with custard and almond cream
I’m no fan of fruit tarts or fruit flans.. I always thought this is a tart that often gets chosen by those who aren’t that in to chocolate cakes or cakes in general (mainly something my parents would choose). What got me the most was the fresh fruits and how they were cut beautifully (as you can tell from the photos). The custard and the almond cream is creamy and thick, light and tasty (not too sweet). This would make a killer summer dessert!

Cocktail berries tart with custard and almond cream
After falling in love with berries from eating Brasserie Bread’s signature berry pancakes, I just had to try this berry tart. Once again the berries were fresh and consisted of strawberries, blue berries and raspberries. Custard was creamy and thick similar to the fruit tart above – Family favourite..

Lemon curd tart
Imagine this tart without the fancy fluffy clouds of meringue. Its pretty much the same as the Lemon Curd with italian meringue tart above. I was hoping there would be a taste which could distinguish the difference in both tart and I would have liked the curd to be a bit thinner like Brasserie Bread’s Lemon tartlet. Once again if your not into sour tarts this probably not for you.
