We dined for 6 hours straight!!!
Once again the Perama session continued thanks to the lovely Karen for organising another gathering with 10 food blogers. The purpose was to try the remaining dishes we didn’t couldn’t fit in our stomachs previously. [read previous post: 31 perama dishes]

I’m not sure how many dishes we managed to hoe into this time, all I can say it wasnt 31 dishes
. We ordered some dishes we had before mainly because we wanted to try it again. We started off with bread, greek salad and dips. From there, these are all the dishes i managed to capture.
Off-the-menu dish of tender lamb rolled in grilled eggplant
It was one of my favourites for the night. I’m surprised david doesnt have this dish on his menu. Definitely a winner!

Crab and Calamari Patties
From memory Lorraine loved this dish and so did we all! Definitely my favourite for the night. The seafood and the crunchiness of this dish was spot on. Wasn’t heavy but was very light leaving your mouth wanting more!

Lobster Moussaka
This dish is was on our “must try” list. Ive had moussaka previously and for some reason I had the image in my head of moussaka in a clay tiny pot. Awesome dish! did our belly’s good!

Chicken Zagora
First time I had chicken at perama (???). Chicken was tender and the dish had a sweeteness to it due to the roasted apples. This dish is a mixture of sweet and savoury. Chestnuts were present in the dish which added texture to the meal. It was nice having chicken for a change ^_^

Mulloway Kakavia
Some thought it was too fishy and others didnt. I’m a fish eater so to me nothing is never too fishy. The fish was very tender which melted in your mouth due to the moisture of the flesh. Big winner ^_^

Sheftalies (Cypriot Sausage)
Where there’s meat theres me! Lamby goodness right here! Another one of my meaty favourites.

Pork Belly Baklava
I said it before and I’ll say it again! This dish is the bomb especially if you fancy sweets like myself! Another dish where savoury meets sweetness.

Chick Pea Patties
We had this last time and it was beautiful due to the crunchiness on the outside and soft in the center. Great dish for vegetarians.

Hand Rolled Filo Pumpkin Pie with roasted beetroot, leek and mustard puree
Baked village style hand rolled filo and pumpkin pie served with a roasted beetroot, leek and mustard puree.

DESERT
This time round us girls managed to save our stomachs for desert. The waitress / waiter asks what deserts we would like to try and Lorraine says: “We’ll try all of the deserts” *WHOOO HOOO!!!*I warn you there was more than this which can be found on the previous entry – part 1 of perama.
Caramel Baklava Ice Cream
Karen and I traded places and I’m pretty sure I hoed into this at her end of the table! I can’t get enough of this icecream!!! I wish this could be purchased else where its amazing and very addictive!

Bougasta
Another dish from the first round perama meeting. Fell in love with these when i first ate it and even more so second time round. I love how its fresh and still piping hot! The mandarin flavours once bitten into it is amazing! Almost a like an explosion of mandarin milk semolina custard!

Lemon – Egg Ice Cream & Olive Oil Ice Cream
Two scoops of Olympia extra virgin olive oil, pistachio and dried fig ice cream.Ive always been in love with David’s olive oil icecream. Its one of the most unusual home made icecreams I have heard of and I think it is absolutely brilliant!

Dessert Dolmathes – rice pudding wrapped in mint leaves
Some found this strange but I actually liked. Strange at first because rice as desert is hard for me to get used to.. but I was surprised about the taste of the mint mixed with the mouthfuls of sweet pudding and cinnamon. From memory David decided to try something different by wrapping it with beetle leaves ^_^ very impressive!

Turkish Delight
Real turkish delight is always da bomb and puts cadbury turkish delight chocolates to shame. Explains all! I downed about 3 of these cubes Mmm!

Pears In Red wine Syrup
Pears poached in a spiced wine syrup, served with fresh strained yoghurt and pasteli (sesame honey biscuit). I still think this is one of the perfect poached pears – im sure Steph can back me up on this one ^_^

Ekmek
The Byzantine peasants of Constantinople enjoyed a simple dessert of oven fired brioche soaked in a spiced sugar syrup and served with kaymaki (clotted cream). – Sweeter than last time but still gold! I want this all to myself!
