Q1 Beach Club, Surfers Paradise
Went up to Queensland to support a friend who successfully completed the Youth off the Streets charity cycle event from Hornsby, Sydney to Surfers Paradise, Queensland. Flew up a day earlier and hung out at the 5 tar luxury resort where we were staying at (Q1 Resort & Spa Apartments)
Started off with a morning swim followed by Brunch at the Q1 Beach club restaurant. Fairly empty considering it was a Friday morning and Surfers Paradise isn’t at it’s peak season for the tourism area. Overall it was great having the facilities to ourselves.
Brunch was fantastic! Out of all the brunch places we went to, Q1 happened to stand out the most. Not only for its presentation, food was great and so was the service.
However, fairly pricey as for 4 people the bill came up to $95.

VIEW
There isn’t much of a view.. the cafe is over looking the out door pools, spa and gymnasium.

FOOD
Fish of the Day
Bream in a beer batter served with chips and a home made tartare sauce

Very satisfied with the fish. Fish was cooked to perfection that it melted in your mouth. It wasn’t oily and most importantly the batter was extremely light with cracked pepper! Never had seasoned batter in my fish which I thought was very nice!

Fresh side salad which was soo fresh i couldn’t help myself but eat this all first!

I was impressed with this tartare sauce. I usually never touch tartare or anything with mayonnaise. This was surprisingly good! you could taste the home-made herbs it was well made!

All Day Breakfast
Fresh range egg with bacon, sausage, grilled tomatoes and hash browns

Nothing beats crispy bacon and chipolata sausages which are full of flavour, scrambled eggs cooked with love without it feeling oily, too creamy and the freshly grilled tomato which melts in your mouth!

Q1 Beach Club
Corner of Hamilton Ave &
Northcliffe Terrace
Surfers Paradise, 4217

Shame about the price, but that big brekky looks tops.

they were both nice.. cant exactly judge as they’re both different genres of cooking.

oh! we popped down to see Q1 the last time we were up on the Gold Coast. didn’t go inside though. the poolside vista looks oh-so-relaxing and the food does look very good. it does seem steep, but i guess you’re paying for the vista more so than anything else right?

Small world. I know the charity photographers that quite often do work for them in Sydney.
That looks like a mighty tasty and hearty brunch
