deckhouse café, woolwich

located at one of sydney’s beautiful harbour hot spots,
lays a cafe with stunning views & delicious food!

If your ever stuck for brunch / breakfast ideas, Deckhouse cafe at woolwich (via hunters hill), lays a hidden gem which is bound to tantalise the taste buds of sydney siders. It was my first time ever driving to woolwich and boy was I gobsmacked at what a beautiful venue this place is. With iconic views of the harbour bridge and cockatoo island, brunch and breaky goers will definitely have their bellies filled with delicious food and a sight you just can’t get sick of.

Head chef Samantha showcases some of the deckhouse creations and feeds a hungry bunch of foodies. If you thought Samantha was the only chef, wait till you meet Con Dedes (owner / managing director) mother (yaya) who also cooks up a storm and leaves us filling satisfied and extremely full.

Fruit & yoghurt topped with granola
My absolute favourite breakfast!!!!! I seriously could not get enough of this that I wanted an other one. The granola is crunchy and adds a delicious texture while the yoghurt is soo smooth, creamy and amazing. As for the fruit.. delicious when combined with everything. Great way to start the day.

Field mushroom and feta tart
You can never say no to mushroom and feta tart! I love caramelisation of the onions and the mushrooms with the crunchy buttery puff pastry with crumbled feta, makes this one heck of a breakfast dish! – TOTAL LOVE!

Peppered soft shell crab, pickled cucumber, red radish and round mint
The perfect salad for brunch! Salad screams with freshness and the crunch of soft shell crab highlights this dish!

Haloumi cheese – with smoked apple & olives
Grilled haloumi is the gold mine of this dish. It’s a superb salad which you just can’t go wrong thanks to the smoked apples and the sweetness of the raisins. The sweetness complements the haloumi and the peppery rocket.

Grilled prawns and fresh peach peri peri salad
Prawns and peach are such a beautiful combination. The texture of the peach with the peri peri sauce and the grilled prawns is what makes this salad scream with joy and happiness.

Tempura fish chunky chips and tartar sauce.
When your sitting by the water with stunning views and bright blue sky.. its the ultimate mood setter for battered fish, fries and a wedge of lemon!

Yaya’s kitchen

Unfortunately yaya’s delicious dishes are not available on the menu. It was a privilege to experience authentic home style Greek dishes made with love!
