Dank Street Depot – Breakfast / Brunch
If your a lover of organic culinary cooking and organic produce than this is the place for you. Dank St festival gave me a good reason to finally visit Jared’s restaurant which has been on my list for quite some time. With the popular Crown and Bourke street a couple of blocks away, Dank St seems to be the new hot spot where a world of art, organic groceries / produce, and food are brought together.
Starting the day with the usual Soy Mocha, they accidentally gave us hot chocolate and boyyy was this the best mistake ever!!!!!!!!! The chocolate quality is soo god damn good even max brennas and lindt cant compete with this!

Special of the Day – Pork & Fennel? (cant remember)
Who would have thought a massive slab of tender pork and a thick chunk of pork crackle would sit before our eyes. We were all kicking ourselves when (M)‘s amazing dish came out. Flavours were really nice, with sweet raisins mixed with fennel and – its impossible for this dish to go wrong *BEST DISH OF THE DAY*

Pepperonata- 2 fried eggs served in the pan with lamb Merguez sausages and capsicums braised with oranges, fennel, tomatoes and olives
I saw waitresses holding mini frying. I immediately flagged one of the waitresses and asked what it was as it seemed to be fairly popular with peoples choices. Love how t hey serve the dish in the metal pans, it instantly reminded me of Jamie Oliver’s “FRY-UP” episode (when you’ve had a late boozy night by placing all of your ingredients in the one pan, egg bacon, mushrooms etc). Capsicums had a beautiful taste as they had been marinated and the sausages were lean.

Poached Eggs with Hash – 2 Eggs served with roasted Tomato, Sourdough Toast and your choice of Bacon or Silverbeet Hash
(N)‘s dish which if a healthier option, eggs are absolutely beautiful. You can tell these eggs are organic of some sort, very creamy, yolk is bigger and rich in texture, colour and flavour. Bacon hash was delicious and the bread is by my favourite – brasserie bread![]()

Pure Bred Angus Scotch Fillet Steak, cooked to your liking, and served with Café de Paris Butter, hand cut - Hope I got this dish name correct??!?!?!?!
As plain as it looks the boys loved it so much they refused to give us 3 girls a try. Even I wanted a slither of the fat-free organic lean Steak especially when eying the crispy charcoal edges and the surrounding juicy goodness. We ordered bowl of wedges on the side, the boys were happy with their slab of beef.

Wedges
We were all raving on about how good these wedges were. Goddamn you organic produceeee you taste sooo gooooodddd. It was like having home made crunchy wedges sprinkled with sea salt. It had a really nice freshness feel about them not just the usual ones you would buy from a woolies freezer. Probably one of the nicest wedges i’ve had in such a long long time.
