After biting into what felt like a billion macarons, I’m not too sure when I’ll be able to eat another one again. 5 of us crazy lunatics united in celebration of Adriano’s Birthday and his once off macaron madness. There steph, lisa, karen, shaun and I devoured a whole box in 1.5hours!
All sugared up and jittery from the sugar shock our bodies had consumed, my tongue and mouth were swollen that my appetite disappeared for approximately 1½ days. As crazy as it sounds, it was totally worth it and a achievement on trying almost every flavour
Warning: many many photos…you’ll be scrolling a lot

If macrons were preservable…
I would display it on my shelf and stare at it forever. After eating these, we discovered there were some flavours missing *sigh* =( For more information about what flavours were available, visit - Grab Your Fork for the full list.

I heart you..
When we first started eating the macarons, our bite sizes were a good decent size. After the first 10 our bites began to get smaller, and smaller and smaller.
I absolutely loved the following macaron flavours:
cream Bun / finger bun, chupa-chup, burnt butter amd burnt toast, rosemary and olive, rice pudding, chocolate passionfruit , peanut butter, cheesecake, popcorn (as always), vegemite, goats cheese and blueberry, chocolate & red wine and iced vovo.

Store turns into a macaron fiesta!
For this special occasion, people joined the queue for macarons, some already deciding on which flavours they wanted and some were overwhelmed with the variety and suggested “give me some random macarons and surprise me”.

The polished proof
After hoeing into soo many it was off to fix the craving for something dirty and super salty - hot chips and gravy *boom-chika-wow-wow*

Crazy indeed! I was really intrigued by the fig macarons and their unique tear-drop shape. The colour was amazing too.
My favourites included the burnt toast and butter and the cheeseburger. I really got into the Vegemite one too. And ahh yes popcorn! Always a winner!

You lucky guys (and gals)! One-and-a-half-hours for a box is pretty good going, since you need to appreciate each and every flavour! LOL. Amazing.

Man.. talk about overload! But it’s all good..
Initallly I was disappointed about not being able to make it on the day but decided to go the following day just incase there might be some left and to my surprise there was a truck full of macarons outside the store! YAY! So I managed to get 20 for myself and some for the boy – I got the beer one for him and he said it was surprisingly decent.
We are so lucky!

haha oops I just realised i missed out a whole bit of my sentence – I meant to say ‘Am I the only who thinks it’s freaky…”- that proves I’ve had WAY too much sugar and 2 scoops was def a bad idea! We crazy!

Your photos are gorgeous! How on earth did you get the macarons to stand up? Mine always fall down and I’m scared they will break. You tried so many flavours, what fun it would have been.

My aim is to bring forth all the places I think are great through the eyes of a normal everyday customer hoping one day you'll try a particular place I posted.
I like to portray the experience I had using photos to capture the beauty of a dish. Sometimes people don't have time to read everything so from a visual perspective, i like to provide readers with a photographic experience that will hopefully lure and tickle their taste buds.

Aki’s prawn vendakai curry featured in masterchef! Back in the 90′s when growing up, Indian food was always stereotyped as looking unfriendly (considering nothing could be seen underneath that delicious curry sauce). Over the years Indian food has definitely reached the mouths of many cultures and become a cuisine where people are not afraid to...

I like my fried rice to have lots of ingredients. I don’t like fried rice with scummy bits of chinese sausage, egg, shrimp, etc. I prefer one that has lots of ingredients in it to make it a meal in itself! Each mouthful should have a tiny piece of everything. There are many different kinds...

Etch is a small modern European (French, Italian & Spanish influences) restaurant with excellent prices. Instead of paying lots of money for a fancy dish, Etch's prices are reasonable. In my opinion its market is aimed at those who want a fine dining experience which doesn't leave pockets completely dry. Early last year I first went to Etch for a colleagues birthday (read previous entry). Since then I had fond memories of some of the dishes I had. After being so long since I last visited, it has been one of the places the girls had been wanting to try for approximately 1 year. Finally, there was a reason for us girls to get together in celebration of spicyicecream's birthday *whoo...
