Waterfront is one of Dockside Group’s restaurants located in one of Sydney’s touristy hubs. With stunning views that stretch opposite the Opera House and inches from the Harbour Bridge, no wonder this place is filled with customers – and no they’re not tourists LOL!.
I have visited many times in the past as my parents seem to think this place is the bomb! I speak for those who have Asian parents, they’d understand that food portion plays quite a crucial role. If I took them to a french restaurant with mini fancy things presented on a plate, I know my parents would scrunch their faces with disgust or disappointment LOL!!.. Believe it or not, they enjoy places where a plate is generously served and left feeling satisfied.
Salt and pepper prawns with chilli, lime and black bean
Five big fresh prawns cooked just perfectly. It was every boy’s dream as it seemed to be popular with the boys.

Soft shell crab & baked eggplant with yoghurt & cucumber salad
Colour is very brown, don’t think i’ve ever seen soft shell crab soo dark before? It didn’t taste burnt so that’s a good sign. Flavours were great and did work well with the eggplant and yoghurt. Would have loved it if it had a tad more salt.

Grilled fillet of Angus beef & prawn toastie with potato-cheese fritter & Madeira jus
Women never ordered this because we know we probably couldn’t finish it. Beef was tender, prawn toastie melted in your mouth and the potato – cheese fritter was soft with a subtle cheesy flavour.

Grilled fillet of wild barramundi with potato butter, fennel slaw & tomato salsa
In the past i’ve always ordered fish and always been happy with it as its never been over cooked. 2 portions of freshly grilled fish I was struggling to finish the second piece. Flavours of the fennel was beautiful!! Much Loved and always a happy customer.

Trinkets of chocolate five textures of dark and milk chocolate
The ultimate dessert for chocolate lovers! Who would have thought they’d give you thissss many chocolate dishes. Told you the dishes are generous!

White chocolate and passionfruit pavlova with seasonal fruits
I can tell you know this pavo is amazing especially with the sweet and tangy passionfruit. Creamy white chocolate was smooth and creamy and the meringue was fluffy. OMG YUM!

Classic tiramisu, espresso cream and mascarpone snow
Although I didn’t get to try any of this, apparently the tiramisu was delicious! I cant go wrong with tiramisu and mascarpone!

Australian cheese platter with fresh figs & walnut bread
Good lord this was the most generous cheese platter for one I’ve ever seen. The cheddar chunk was thick ass that my cousin sandwiched it between two lavosh sheets. Blue cheese (well im no fan of that moldy smelly stuff – so to me it was gross but everyone who ordered loved it) the brie was creamy, raisins were generous.

Food is part of a social and cultural life that is created when food and people are brought together. Most importantly, I love food and the artistic presentation and flavours that are combined to create a work of delicious art!

The food looks good and it’s good to hear they are generous with the portion sizes! The serving of the prawn toastie with the beef is unusual but it looks so crunchy! I’m loving the trinkets of chocolate dessert!
