As we all know consumer advertising can some what be misleading and if not a bunch of lies. Choice is Australia’s well known advocacy group which protects consumers from making dodgy and better decisions when shopping for a particular product. Choice tests products to ensure the public are aware of what they really portray.

I’m sure there are many lemons in the market, this year and every year Choice hold an award event which companies are hoping not to be shamed with. The 2009 shonkiness goes to:
• Reegen Micro – Plug that saves household energy… NOT!!!
• Tiffany FP807 Food processor – soo good it does nothing but fall apart!
• Chef’s Cupboard and Massel liquid chicken stock – chicken stock with zero chicken
• Uncle Toby’s Honey (Oat crisp) – 14% less cereal, no wonder im still hungry in the morning
• L’Oréal Elvive - because they’re worth it.. so you think…
• Credit Protection Insurance - they only want your money
• Qantas & Tiger Airways - “convenience fee of 6%” – what convenience?
• Tel.Pacific Phone Cards - changes you fees left right and center!

Special thanks to Fiona

Food is part of a social and cultural life that is created when food and people are brought together. Most importantly, I love food and the artistic presentation and flavours that are combined to create a work of delicious art!
