Ghermez Lives on – Part 2

Move out icing.. say hello to butter cream!

One of my earliest entries was Ghermez (see here for a million more flavours) which went hidden under the table this site was new at the time. I’ve come back to revive my favourite cupcake store hoping many of you give it a go when your in my hood.

I’ve never been one to like super sweet traditional icing.. you’d find me picking it off a cake and moving it to the side of my plate. Ghermez make beautiful creamy topping which makes your belly jiggle with glee ^_^.

My taste buds say they’d have to be one of the best cupcake places in comparison to franchises Cupcakes On Pitt and The Cupcake Bakery. Cupcakes cost $3.80 so if your willing to shell out a couple of bucks I promise you.. you will not be let down. I’ve tired pretty much every flavour by having a mini degustation sample with friends and family over the year so i know which ones are the bomb! (Actually there’ snot one bad flavour they’re all really good).

Down-side is their cupcakes tend to go very quickly (which shows how good they are), so if you visit the joint after lunch, chances are there wont be much flavours left.. weekends cupcakes tend to fly so try get there a bit early if you can.

White Chocolate with butterscotch icing [must have]
This is my new favourite!

Dark Chocolate Mud with chocolate butter cream [Must Have]
Extremely popular, in fact this flavour seems to be the one that disappears daily! Sometimes when I get there late there’s either one left or none =( This is a definite must have and my ultimate favourite.

Wow! I almost orgazmed looking at the photos of the white chocolate! That is almost illegal – cupcake porn!!

Their cupcakes are really tasty – unfortunately I live no where near Bondi but have ventured out that way sometimes (not frequently enough) just for the cupcakes and to walk around Bondi Junction. I end up buying many at a time and eating as many as I can myself and then giving some to friends and family. Reminds me I better head out that way soon and get my next fix. After these photos, I might appreciate their beauty for a few secs before munching down on one.

Highly recommended to anyone that has taste buds. Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm.
